ah ... got coaxed into PvP by some guildies. Turns out it's super fun after all, lmao

7 games played, 5 won. Top stats my very first game and fairly regularly afterwards ... but I attribute a lot of that to being a necro lol

more importantly it wasn't ... toxic at all? I was staying out because I didn't want to deal with it since a lot of avid pvpers are real shitheads, but idk if it was because we were playing unranked or what

but no shittiness to be found in like an hour and a half of gaming, it was super nice

also working on the arah track so I can finish off gift of color without having to buy or beg paths off of people lmfao

it is surprising in a good way though, usually when I pvp in other games I get super nervous about playing against real people. Maybe it's because there's no downside? Like you die, sure but no repair cost

the arenas are super small so no long-ass trek through the middle of nowhere ... I like it.

Yeah, PvP is still not my favourite mode, because I'm a PvE gal at heart, but the way GW2 does it it's remarkably unpoisonous.

I've run into the odd elitist douchelord, but they're thin on the ground in the unranked areas

And I'm not good enough for ranked PvP so if they're there I shan't meet them.

basically! I have no interest in ranked at all, but it's nice to make some reward track progress and if people are always this chill then I'll be back.

That and my guildies aren't shitheels or ragers either ... I was a little worried about that but they were super good natured even when we got our asses handed to us.

I really appreciate that a lot. My last regular guild was ... mostly nice but had kind of an ugly underbelly that could come out if they weren't doing great in something. We got a PA pug in a fractal today

and we laughed it off and had zero issues. WHAT CHILL PEOPLE
