I mean the problem is that he's really.... simple

he's like....FIRST DRAFT AI kinda thing

so his motives, thought processes, reactions

everything about him is the result of people extrapolating the processing power of computers AT THE TIME

so you know....HAL is significantly simpler than a flip phone probably

and im not like trying to sell him short, this shallowness is a BIG DRAW to playing him to be honest but I'm having some trouble not sounding like a broken record when describing it

in the app i describe it as 'two calculators taped together'
