oh wow!!! I just saw the documentary on that and he was in it.

I'm more than a bit disappointed I didn't see it on any US sites. That's from Global News, a Canadian Network.

Actually my understanding is that watching Argo greatly diminished his actual role. There was a lot that was historically inaccurate and arguably unfair in Argo's telling of the story.

Argo focused on the cover story used to get them out. They were in Iran to scout film locations for the fake sci-fi film Argo. Taylor's involvement was at great personal risk since he kept them at his house.

Thanks for making us aware of his passing, Suze. RIP, Ambassador Taylor.
