Academics/English-y folks...is anyone around who would be willing to IM or skype with me about conference ideas?

I need to apply for conferences and I'm trying to go to more challenging ones this year (I've been sticking to nice, safe little conferences I know I can get in)

The deadlines are all coming up and I have research and ideas in the various areas the themes are talking about, but nothing super-specific and ready to go

And I honestly don't know how people formalize these things without talking them through. I swear my thought process entirely works through conversation. :-/
