So when im typing with the text tool.. when i enter an exclamation mark "!" it enters on the FRONT end of the text and not at the end of what i typed

Do you perhaps have your spacing set really tiny compared to font size and your text space not big enough, so it's overlapping and going to the front?

You could always create a second layer with the ! text and place it manually

If you can't get it to submit to you, whatever the problem be, just do the new layer with it. It might be that font or a glitch with photoshop.
