I like how it hits on a lot of tropes that are generally giant red flags for a really bad romance plot but the setting actually makes them work

also the "if I eat these I'll get fat!" "that's the point, you're too skinny!" exchange in the first volume, I was really happy to see that. Different standards of beauty, yes! Nailed it!

when i first read it i was like "eh i'll read a few chapters and see if i like it" and then suddenly i was halfway through the series
