More opinions: Should I just use the free wordpress blog hosting, or should I spend a couple of bucks a month for a whole domain thingie [its awfully cheap but does more than I need...]

I'd go with free for now you can upgrade later

Agreed, there's very few limitations to the free blog and not that many benefits to a whole domain. Plus, yeah, you can always upgrade.

Well, multiple blogs... I need to move Faerycat's Musings to wordpress, and also the Wonderlust Events blogs for each event.

Welp, transition is in progress - but time to find out how to change text colours O.o
