well i think it's more 'fight for' as in 'someone's trashing/misinterpreting them i will put my fists up and defend them' which okay!! i will do it too

and man, i have like 3-4 mairon/saurons on my timeline and we all interpret him differently i can't really get in fights about it

that being said, i disregard movie lotr as canon, so. if anyone tries to tell me those are canon i will shout at them
