that or the games have finally gotten to him and he's legit just panic-babbling at Springtrap in the hope that it'll be too distracted by him talking to kill him
though there's a good chance Golden Freddy might be another spring-lock suit, since they're both gold and Phone Guy did say they got two suits in one of the FNAF3 tapes
oh my god..... i keep thinking in the third picture that he's just going. look at me. those eyes will move and look at me even though it's a png and no god fuck
they might be possesed, but they're still animatronics, so they might not be able to recognize the face of the killer if he's not in their predator alert banks
i think when you're in a traumatic/scary situation, you tend to remember the obscure details but forget the important ones. maybe the children don't remember their killer's face
okay, FNAF2's 4th Night Phone Guy Tape he does start out saying that they've been behaving unusual/aggressive towards staff, then notes that when they encounter adults they "just stare"
not sure I buy it since presumeably he'd have to have been fired before the start of FNAF2 but Phone Guy is still excitedly talking about how the animatronics are allowed to walk around during the day to
just pointing out that the Bite of '87 can't have happened prior to FNAF2 if the animatronics are supposed to still be able to walk around during the day
if we assume another theory about the Bite is right (namely, that the security guard you play as for nights 1-6 in FNAF2) was the Bite's victim, it'd explain why night 7 you're a different guard
honestly ever since I learned the creator was admitting that there was something supernatural fueling what was going on with the animatronics, I've just assumed that all the in-game "explanations" that focused
aka nobody in the game universe has a reason to assume the issues are supernatural instead of programmatic/mechanical because they don't have a reason to assume it's an option as an explaination
