Hi.. It is with a very heavy heart that I announce my great aunt finally let go and passed two hours ago. She was very ill and I'm glad she made the new year but it still really hurts.

They didn't think she'd make it to Christmas but she held on long enough to see the start of the new year. Which I'm happy for. I haven't seen her since September when she was put in the nursing home

She was fine until she took a fall somehow and broke her hip then suddenly everything went downhill. She got tired and depressed (since half the fam has broken up) and called it quits.

I'm sorry love, she's in the better place now

This bites. Once my grandma comes home and finds out this will be x10 a depressing household and she'll go on to say she wants to die like she does a lot now that drama started

This is a great mood to be in a week before school goes back.. I'm glad she's not in pain anymore but how my family reacts is a death in itself.
