admittedly the fourth stratum overall is much easier/less aggravating than the third (and second) but

The last floor introduces dudes who can panic or paralyze your entire party with one attack and they love getting surprise attacks

Boss of the third stratum was extremely easy, I won in like 5 turns or something

Boss of the fourth stratum was pretty easy but I wasn't prepared on my first attempt

There are two possible bosses based on story paths, but they have similar mechanics

One is all about binds, the other is all about status effects

I had the bind one, and he has a strictly patterned fire attack that I was able to completely null

Which gave me a free turn to buff my attackers

But I didn't have enough bind removal items on my first go so eventually I got overwhelmed

It was funny, though

He knocked out my two damage dealers in the same turn with a skill that does extreme damage to bound characters (after using a counter skill that binds anyone who attacks him)

So I knew I had lost at that point and I just set it to auto battle to wipe

And it still took like 5 turns of not doing any healing or damage mitigation for anyone else to die

so I bought some status items and then came back and won and it was easy

NOW I VENTURE INTO THE FIFTH STRATUM FOR THE FIRST TIME it's very pretty

but the mechanic is going to be obnoxious I can already tell

(certain tiles black out your map when you're on them, certain rooms have these in a checkerboard pattern)

no map, FOE's are untrackable
