Shoppers: are any of your consumer habits changing as a result of the SL2.0 announcement? Does it make you more/less/same in terms of likelihood of buying things?

nope. sl 2.0 isn't due out till 2016 if at all so my shopping will continue

Regardless, I don't really think it will make any difference in my slife. I'm happy where I am, although eager to see what they've come up with

I hope not considering it 2 years away and different platform. Not all of SL with migrate there so I would think life still would happen for designers in 1.0

I don't think it will change my shopping habits any. I would expect (and hope) that the two platforms would run concurrent for some time. I wouldn't want to migrate fully until I have some nice stuff there.

And I have no plans at all to leave sl even when they open the new grid

And for creating stuff, it could a long process to move stuff/build up inventory for sale if there's a learning curve to the viewer or interface

I totally see myself yelling at the whippersnappers (i.e., Residents) to get off my lawn in SL1.0 unless there's some amazing incentive to move.

But 2 years away, not even close to being on my radar, fun to read and talk about it but life can change on two years!!!!

Nothing LL has ever said has ever made me change how I use SL. This is no different.

Maybe would change when the new grid is set to open that year. Too soon now.

If they continue with their no-TPV decison, there's little chance I would abandon SL for that new platform since I've generally hated how unfriendly to users (and weak on tools) their viewers have always been.
