[work] just venting a little and facepalming a little.

DryadGurrl
So, I was out sick for four out of five days last week, I got the same amount of work (returned mail that needs addresses checked, two different reports that need certain things done on the account etc) that

DryadGurrl
I would have gotten if I'd been there. The same amount of work that people who were there got.

DryadGurrl
I caught up this week on last week's projects AND this week's. I had nothing left on my desk when I went home today (nothing that wasn't pending approval, that is)

DryadGurrl
EVERYONE around me was complaining that they weren't able to catch up on their work from last week.

DryadGurrl
How the hell do they stay employed? I just, it boggles me that even with the extra steps that were added to the one project I'm still able to do two week's worth in 90 minutes, give or take

DryadGurrl
along with getting caught up on the mail between calls

DryadGurrl
not only that: some of them are using the wrong or the old process even though we've been told twice how to do it now. So apparently none of them read their update emails either.

DryadGurrl
(though I knew that, because that's something ELSE they complain about: "How am I supposed to read all these emails????" Gee, I don't know, maybe read them between calls instead of chatting?)

DryadGurrl
(not that I have anything against chatting when there isn't a backlog Work first, socialize second)

DryadGurrl
now that that's off my chest: back to trying to write the backtags

DryadGurrl
had to vent my spleen a little (it's where the vitriol AND the vocabulary are stored)

DryadGurrl
/gentle squishings

DryadGurrl
it's always been this way, apparently it just bothered me more this week than it usually does

DryadGurrl
I think it was mostly the fact that they're doing the assignment wrong

DryadGurrl
because I want to correct them, but I'm not going to open myself up to that.

sneakronicity
oh man, that sounds frustrating

DryadGurrl
Mostly I just turn my music up and do what I do.

sneakronicity
how are you still awake?

DryadGurrl
coffee

sneakronicity
lol

DryadGurrl
though I will probably be bedward soon

DryadGurrl
considering that the words stopped working about an hour ago

sneakronicity
I just woke up

sneakronicity
sleeeeeep. sleep is good

DryadGurrl
yes, that is what I shall do

sneakronicity
sleep well darling! and have a lovely weekend!
