[Anime] Still really liking Coppelion, but I kind of wish the "human" aspects of the girls weren't portrayed in a negative light. Seems like showing sentiment towards people or emotion gets them into trouble.
That's especially apparent in ep. 06. When the 1st Division leader dude unmasks himself to reveal how he's decayed since the disaster, Ibara loses her guard & remarks it's a relief to see he has "human" eyes.
It ends up leaving her wide open & vulnerable for the canon that hits her. Earlier in the ep. too, when the same leader dude's like, "Go ahead & kill me, I don't care." The fact that people aren't afraid to die
stuns Ibara enough to leave her open to being attacked to unconsciousness. Aoi ends up being taken to 1st Division base when Ibara went all that way to rescue her. I dunno, maybe I j/ wish Ibara weren't so
emotional as a leader. I mean, yes, it's good to have a degree of feeling, but whenever she lets that side of her show it's usually to her detriment. @ least when Taeko got shot, she was helping Ibuki back to
(Now that I think of it, it's maybe a bit hypocritical of me to be so "meh" about how much of a weakness the series is portraying emotions, when I hate the part of me that's an overemotional dolt. XD;;
I j/ keep all that emo stuff to myself, most of the time. Lololololol.)
