Yeah I'm gonna gush a bit more about Anko over here

I just love how, even after four years of character development, and people who like her and trust her and all, she's still just so messed up

It's just. Really, really fun to play with

She thinks everything is fine and awesome and great, she's got something to do (the bar), she's got someone to do (hello gents and lady), she's not been screwed over really bad by any Animus lately

and then wham, something she would have thought would be awesome happens and she gets a friend from home back

and it's just... not at all what she expected, and she doesn't know how to deal with someone ostensibly from the same place she is, who doesn't know everything she would expect him to know

and she just. Doesn't quite know how to handle it

and this is someone used to handling pretty much everything up to and (at this point) including actual literal death, so

this thread with Kakashi rn is fascinating because, well

it's interesting to see what habits have and haven't changed for her, in the four years she's been here

if Anko ever needs to talk/need to not talk but have someone there who will understand, Urahara's always around
