your puppy a collie?
dragon time
yep!
dragon time
he's only eight months so the full ruff hasnt come in yet
lazy loafer
d'aw. I love collies.
dragon time
they are pretty great
dragon time
when he runs his fur's so long that it bounces
lazy loafer
Lawrence does the same too. He's a PBGV.
lazy loafer
Thinking on what breed to look for when I can have a second dog. Collie is big on my list.
dragon time
/googles it
dragon time
aww
dragon time
tiny hound
dragon time
if you have a smaller old dog, a young collie would probably be tough on it
dragon time
that said they are pretty excellent
lazy loafer
It's three years old, so a little old, yeah.
lazy loafer
Hm, it's going to be a process of trial and error, but Lawrence is pretty high energy.
dragon time
they need a fuckton of grooming, too
dragon time
high energy is a good match
dragon time
aaand depending on the breeder, the herding instinct might be pretty strong
dragon time
MacGyver's line focused more on show dog/pet qualities so he's not too bad
dragon time
anyway collies are pretty good
dragon time
smart, gentle, generally friendly
dragon time
also the head shape is so very pretty
lazy loafer
The head shape is honestly a plus. Herding's not so bad, though. Better than hunting instincts especially in an urban area, but that only comes out occasionally with this Lawrence.
lazy loafer
'sides, I wanted a corgi, so really, I think the herding's kinda cute.
lazy loafer
Collie or husky, shepherd, or any of the other wolf dogs... kinda set on a big dog.
