Ludwig
(1152) The Holy Roman Empire had enjoyed the Fin's company so much that instead of heading back to Vienna as was intended he had remained another two years to learn more about the boy and his culture.
Tino
grown quite used to the boy's company, and already treats him as family. He scurries to the other's side, nudging him gently. "Luddy!" He squeals.
Ludwig
blinks as he puts down the breakfast he had been eating. He had learned the other boy's language liking it more than his mother tongue. "Tino?" He grins.
Tino
steals a bit of the bread, sitting next to him. «Good morning!» he tries in a rusty german, also having learned a bit of the boy's culture too. "I'm leaving later on to fish, are you coming?"
Ludwig
frowns lightly when some of his bread is stolen before his expression brightens at the thought of fishing. << Ja! I wouldn't miss fishing for the world!>>
Tino
grins. "Then pack your things, my boat is ready!" he laughs happily, eating his food. He's already had his own breakfast, but food is always good.
Ludwig
never bothered by sharing his stuff with Tino. He scrambles up and runs off to their tend grabbing his pack and running out. "Ready! Let's goo!!!"
Tino
beams, clapping his hands as he walks off to the pier, ushering the kid to follow him along. "Quick, quick!"
Ludwig
jogging besides Tino as they make their way to the pier and as the other said the boat was more than ready for them. "If I go any faster I'll be sprinting." He laughs.
Tino
scrambles a bit before he jumps on the boat, offering a hand. "Then we can sprint!" he beams, smiling widely. The fishnets and ropes were all tied up nicely, and there were knives.
Ludwig
takes the offered hand and jumps in after the boy. He goes somewhere in the middle and takes a seat. "I bet I can catch something bigger than you." He grins challengingly.
Tino
grins back. "I bet I can catch more!" he challenges back, tugging off the ropes and grabbing one of the rows. "C'mon, help me here!"
Ludwig
scrambles over to help grabbing the other row as they push off and begin to drift. "We'll see about that. I'll catch the biggest and the most."
Tino
begins to row, his small body rocking back and forth to keep up with the waves. "I doubt it, I know the waters better!" he grins, leaning in. "We should bet... something!"
Ludwig
mimics the others motions as they fall into rhythm. "What do you want to bet?"
Tino
shrugs. "I have no idea, but... What about your fur coat, if I win?" he points. He was very proud the German had hunted it himself, it was more for gigs.
Ludwig
glances down at his coat, his lips pertruding in thought. "Ja, okay, I can do that....and if I win I want....half of your hunt for five days. Okay?"
Tino
nods, hesitating before he agrees. "Okay!" he rows quicker now, excited. He'd have more fish than the other that was certain.
Ludwig
would not lose to Tino and picks up his rowing pace as well.
Tino
his eyes narrowed and cheeks puffed in extreme concentration, rowing quick now to their usual fishing spot, not far away from the coast.
Ludwig
glad when they arrive at the fishing spot and imediately gets his stuff ready claiming one side of the boat for himself.
Tino
claims the opposite side, throwing the fishnet he's carefully sewed on the water and then sitting down to wait, focused entirely on his task.
Ludwig
his fishing net out and even made a makeshift fishing rode to up the catch.
Tino
gasps at the fishing rod, pouting and huffing angrily at that. He'd have to do something about his catch, so he just tugs his fishnet to the left, where there's more fish.
Ludwig
spying on him and when the Fin turns away he pushes his net to that side as well before shifting his fishingrod.
Tino
glares at him, discreetly throwing a rock on the other's side to make the water ruffle a bit and scare the fish.
Ludwig
gasps and then growls at such a cheap shot. He moves his net and rod to the other side of the boat the side claimed by Tino just to get on his nerves.
Tino
huffs at that, glaring pointedly at him before he grabs a harpoon from his side, aiming a bit before throwing on the water. HAH.
Ludwig
pouts at the harpoon not having thought of that before his expression brightens when he feels a tug on his fishingrod and begins to gently pull it in not wanting it to let go.
Tino
pulls the harpoon with a satisfied grin, showing off the fish he managed to catch with it, putting it on his side of the boat.
Ludwig
the flailing fish pinned to the side of the boat with one hand before he reaches over with the second and struggles with it. It doesn't take him that long to get the situation under control before pulling it
Ludwig
completely into the boat and then bashing it's head in with his fist. He compares their size and finds that they are the same and look the same in weight as well. He frowns. "The next one will be bigger than
Ludwig
yours."
Tino
watches the comparison intently before he goes back to his fishing, taking his time to aim properly with the harpoon. He wanted to get two with a single shot this time.
Ludwig
had caught a few other fish but a lot smaller than his first one. He pouts and throws his line back into the water.
Tino
grins at him and after a while he catches two fishes more with the harpoon, bigger than Ludwig's.
Ludwig
looks devastated and more determined to catch that big fish he had been hoping too.
Tino
searching for a big fish on his side too, eyes narrowed so he'll see better whatever moves underwater.
Ludwig
had been losing a bit of faith until his line jerked him off his seat with a cry as he tried to keep himself from being thrown into the water. "T-tinooo!!"
Tino
blinks and turns, quickly scurrying to wrap his arms tight around the other's waist, holding him in place. "Careful, or the boat'll turn!"
Ludwig
trying hard to pull in the line. "I know!" He heaves. "But this fish is strong!!!" The boat begins to move forward in the direction of the fish.
Tino
squeals, letting go of the German to make sure the boat is achored, rushing to hold him again.
Ludwig
cried out when he was let go really having to heave himself back. He's straining very hard and luckily with the help of Tino he manages to heave the enermous fish onto the boat. He falls back with a pant and a
Ludwig
look of bewilderment.
Tino
... can't win this, so he gulps, amazed at the enoumous fish. "I.. Woah."
Ludwig
pounces on it holding it still as it tries to fling itself out of the boat. "Tino....a little help!!"
Tino
smashes its head with the back of the harpoon, glad when it dies. He crouches next to the fish after, inspecting it. "You... Luddy, congrats, you got a pike!" He beams, hugging the other tight and very proud.
Tino
Ludwig
can finally relax as he rolls off the still fish and grins up at Tino. "We should cook it and give some to the elder~!"
Tino
laughs, nodding. "We can feed the whole village with it!" He beams, clapping his hands in excitement.
Ludwig
laughs at that. "BUT....can we do that after I remember how to get up?"
Tino
blinks softly, then laughs sheepishily and rolls off the other, tugging him up. "C'mon! We need to show this one!"
Ludwig
dragged up with a groan before nodding and picking up a paddle. "Okay, okay, let's show it off. But remember, I get half of your hunt for the next week." He smirks at that as he begins to row back to shore.
Tino
huffs. "I know!" He'd have to share the next Elk... No fun. Still, he's soon smiling and rowing back to the coast.
Ludwig
impressed that they make it back in record time for being out on the waters for such a long time fishing. He's the first one to jump up as he leaps out of the boat with the rope and ties it to keep the boat
Ludwig
from floating off. "I can't wait to eat it!"
Tino
laughs. "It'll be delicious! Better than anything!" He beams, having forgotten about their fishnets in the water as he grabs the basket with his fish.
Ludwig
had grabbed the half empty basket of fish he had before heaving the larger fish over his shoulder. It was such a comical sight because the fish was nearly bigger than him and yet he had no problems carrying it
Ludwig
back to the village.
Tino
giggles at this, walking off after him. The elder, when he spots them, laughs loudly, but eventually comes to pick up the fish, yelling to the others about it.
Ludwig
beams at the elder before the other villagers gather around them and go over their spoils, everyone laughing and enjoying themselves as they begin to tell fishing stories as they start up a fire.
Tino
can already tell it is a day to be celebrated. He goes to help set the fire, as some of the older men take the pike to skin and prepare it. "Catching a pike here is an honour." He giggles.
Ludwig
had gone to help Tino with the fire. Ever since he had arrived here and decided to stay they had inseperable and for good reason. "...I had no idea..." He says in slight awe...back in Vienna there weren't very
Ludwig
many things that were considered honourable if you were still alive.
Tino
laughs. "It's a fish that eats other fish, and it can feed the whole village!" He beams, turning to him. "The rest of the fish will be kept outside, and we eat them next breakfast." He laughs. "Or dinner!"
Ludwig
laughs with him mostly because the other boy's laugh was fairly contagious. "Well, that is good then."
Tino
nods. "Yes!" He watches the others settle the lunch quick, the fish roasting in the fire. Tino goes to sit down on a log, waving his legs a bit as he waited. "But I'll catch my pike one day too!"
Ludwig
him a mischevious look. "Maybe tomorrow?"
Tino
grins back. "Maybe..." He hums, then pauses and blinks as if he'd just remembered something very important. "When.. When are you returning to your home?" He asks, quieter.
Ludwig
blinks at the question. His smile fading into a frown. "This is my home..." He says solemnly. "...I don't have to go back...right?" He asks almost for permission from the boy in front of him.
Tino
shakes his head, taking some time to proccess the information before he hugs the boy tight. "No! Of course you can stay, you're a friend! Part of the family even." He beams.
Ludwig
's expression brightens as he hugs Tino back. "I was scared...that you didn't want me here anymore..."
Tino
laughs. "You're always welcome here! Always!" He giggles, pulling back to look at him. "This is great news!"
Ludwig
him an even warmer smiles before punching him in the arm with a slight scowl. "Don't ever scare me like that again...okay."
Tino
winces at the pain, then laughs it off, blushing heavily. "I'm sorry! I just thought you had a home away, and you wanted to leave..." he whines.
Ludwig
shakes his head vigorously. "This has been more of a home to me than my actual home." He admits.
Tino
blushes more at that, laughing it off. "I.. well, I try!" he gulps, looking away. "You can stay as long as you wish, then."
Ludwig
smiles and pulls him in for another hug, a tight one. "If I can stay forever, I will."
Tino
hugs him just as tight, and before he notices it, there's some hint of tears in his eyes. "Then you should." he laughs, voice coming out a bit off as he sobs, touched by the news.
Ludwig
frowns at the sobbing as he pulls away keeping the other at arms length. "why are you crying?" He asks quietly as he tries to pat Tino's tears dry.
Tino
squints his eyes shut to hide the tears, shaking his head and puffing out his cheeks. "B-because... no one ever wants to stay, and you do." he whimpers, burying his head in the other's chest. "And I'm happy!"
Ludwig
holds him close and plants a light kiss to the top of his head. "I thought people were suppose to smile when happy not cry." He teases lightly tightening his hold.
Tino
whines. "I thought so but... Apparently not." he shrugs, snuggling against the other as he clings to his shirt. After he finally calms down, he pulls back, face red up to his ears. "Then you'll stay, yay!"
Ludwig
's face had also turned a dark shade of red as certain villagers began to stare. "Ja, of course! I never planned to leave."
Tino
doesn't get why the villagers stare, but it is strange, so he just nods in silence, looking down. "Good, good!" he covers his face, the villagers who had been staring laughing between themselves.
Ludwig
just as red now. His heart beating really loudly in his chest...at least to him. "The Pike is probably almost done..." He says as a way of distraction.
Tino
nods. "Yes, it's going to be a delicious pike!" he comments, a bit idly, shaking his head after and looking around for the elder. He spots the man shortly after, who waves at them to come fetch their share.
Ludwig
notices the elder and immediately runs over to him finding that the red was fading for his features as he was handed some Pike which he to gratefully.
Tino
soon calms down too, unsure why he had gotten so red, or why his heart was beating so quick. He guesses it's because he nearly lost his friend... Grabbing the slice, he nods thankfully, and returns to his_
Tino
place to eat it -- it tasted great.
Ludwig
could not get enough of the Pike...it tasted like no other fish and he devoured it quickly finishing it with a satisfied sigh. It had certainly been a good catch but when he notice Tino head back towards him
Ludwig
the flush returned for some inexplicable reason before he shook his head to clear his mind.
Tino
making a small mess as he eats, laughing a bit. "Tastes great, no?" he had eaten it before -- once in a while, his men would catch it, for festivities and such. Wow, he could use another slice.
Ludwig
nods his head vigoroulsy. "It's super good!"
Tino
laughs a little. "I'll go grab another slice, wait for me." he pats the other's knee and stumbles off, calling for the elder.
Ludwig
does just that and enjoys the company of the villagers and the warm fire his gaze occasionally falling on Tino who was speaking animatedly to the elder.
Tino
blushes at something the elder says, then nods and takes his slice of pike happily. He pauses to talk to some villagers on his way, laughing at them and shrugging after. When he settles down, he turns to_
Tino
Ludwig with a warm smile. "They'll let you stay, and you'll have your own tent too!"
Ludwig
grins and then frowns. "We can't share anymore?" He says perhaps a little to sadly.
Tino
shrugs. "We can, too!" he laughs, nipping on the fish. "But you can have your own tent, and keep your stuff there!" he hums. "And even a pet! I want a pet reindeer..." he trails off.
Ludwig
's smile reappers on his features. "That sounds great with me...I never thought of a pet." He had always liked wolves but he was sure they were much to dangerous to keep around.
Tino
nods. "Then we can head off to the forest tomorrow, and see if we can find pups!" he smiles. "If we find them young, we can feed them, and the elder'll surely let us keep them!"
Ludwig
brightens at that, it was like Tino could read his mind...which he didn't doubt at some points. "That would be awesome! But don't you think their mom wouldn't be to happy with us taking them?"
Tino
hums. "Reindeers are peaceful animals... We wouldn't have problems with them!" he laughs, going back to eat. "What pet do you want?"
Ludwig
flushes lightly. He was embarassed to tell. "I know reindeers are....I was talking more about a ...." He clears his throat mostly in embarassement. "A...a...wolf..."
Tino
pauses. "A wolf would be hard!" he pauses. "But sometimes, you can find some pups that have been abandoned, or whose mother's been killed... I think unless that happens, we wouldn't be lucky with wolves."
Ludwig
's expression dims a little at that but he should have known. "Well, I'm okay with any other animal too."
Tino
nods. "Well, want to search for it now? I'll warn the elder." he offers with a grin, after he's finished his second serving. "He certainly won't mind!"
Ludwig
nods smiling. "Yeah, that would be great! We can look for your reinddeer first because they aren't going to hurt us...." He laughs.
Tino
sticks his tongue out. "My reindeers are awesome!"
Ludwig
sticks his tongue out back in retaliation. "They aren't cool looking like my wolves!!" He counters.
Tino
crosses his arms, turning his back on him. "I'll teach my reindeer to fly!" he shrugs. "You can keep your wolves..."
Ludwig
quirks a brow. "Reindeers can't fly!"
Tino
glares pointedly at him. "Everything is possible if you believe... One day you'll see them flying, and you. Will. Cry." he smirks, standing up to talk to the elder.
Ludwig
pouts. "No I won't!" He yells behind the retreating Fin's back. "I won't cry!"
Tino
he laughs a bit at that, chatting for a while with the elder. The old man makes him clean his fingers and mouth in a basin first, then lets him go under the warning that they both return before dinner.
Ludwig
excited about this and springs up running to get his pack before heading back to the fire to wait for Tino. He was shaking he was so excited. Austria would have killed him if he had brought an animal home
Ludwig
especially a wolf.
Tino
goes to fetch his stuff, mostly the boots for walking in the forest before he's meeting Ludwig by the fire, laughing happily. "C'mon! You know the woods better, but we must keep an eye out still."
Tino
(better as in better than two years ago, damn)
Ludwig
nods. "I'll keep me eyes peeled. Nothing will get past me." He grins.
Tino
giggles a bit at that, adjusting a bow and quiver on his back as he heads off. He doubted they'd have problems, but always better to be precautious. "And I'll come back with my reindeer!"
Ludwig
doesn't doubt that, whether he came back with a pup or not. "I don't doubt it."
Tino
walks a bit faster. "Have you learned to climb trees yet?"
Ludwig
not very good at it. "I'm okay?"
Tino
nods. "Right... You'll need to climb fast if we're attacked by wolves!"
Ludwig
he'll be scared shitless than climbing a tree wouldn't be his problem. "I don't think that'll be too much of a problem."
Tino
grins, patting his back as he makes his way across the woods, searching for his pet. "Great!"
Ludwig
follows as he scans the woods. It was fairly barren right now but the further they go the more they would find.
Tino
whistles softly, looking around before he seems to spot some movement, and walks in that direction, eyes narrowed in pointed concentration.
Ludwig
keeps behind Tino as he tries to keep quiet. He trails a little further behind hiding behind a tree. He was there for support if he needed it.
Tino
grins a little as he spots the reindeer, a mother, hiding a bit to trail off her next.
Ludwig
moves from tree to tree getting closer as he waits for Tino's signal if he did need help.
Tino
won't signal so soon, waiting for the mother to walk away. One of the reindeers stay behind, a clumsy one who's having trouble staying on her four paws. Tino approaches it, offering his hand.
Ludwig
watches as the clumsy reindeer studies the hand suspiciously before slowly approaching the boy.
Tino
smiles, gently patting its head. "Are you a boy?" he hums, craning his head to see. "No, a girl! A beautiful girl."
Ludwig
isn't sure if he should make an appearance or leave this to Tino. He decides to stay hidden as he watched the reindeer push its head against the Fin's hand wanting more pets.
Tino
giggles happily at this, motioning for Ludwig to come closer. "Look at her! Look!" he beams, patting her happily and getting some licks from the animal already.
Ludwig
peeks from around the tree and slowly making it over trying not to sare the reindeer. "She really is...what are you going to call her? Do you think she'll follow us home?"
Tino
giggles. "I'll call her Aino." he hums, patting around for a few berries he'd hidden in his pockets, feeding her. "I think she will... Or maybe not. If she doesn't, she doesn't."
Ludwig
nods as he stays a distance from the reindeer too in awe.
Tino
guides the reindeer towards him. "Stretch your hand out, animals like to feel the smell before being touched..."
Ludwig
nods and does as instructed as he outstretches his hand shaking slightly never having done this except with a bunny, cat and dog. "Ahh, okay..."
Tino
laughs and Aino is soon sniffing him, licking his hands a little after. Still, she curls back to Tino, hiding behind him and soon falling on her bum.
Ludwig
giggles at the lick before laughing when she hides behind the other boy and falls. "She's cute...good find."
Tino
nods happily. "Yes, yes she is!" he beams, giggling at her. "She can't walk yet...so her mother left her, poor thing." he bawls.
Ludwig
pats his shoulder. "You can be her mother."
Tino
huffs. "I'm not a girl!"
Ludwig
can't help bursting out in laughter. "Are you sher she doesn't think so!!" He's laughing so hard tears are streaming down his face.
Tino
hugs his reindeer tight. "She'll think me as her new big and strong papa!" he whines, walking off with Aino stumbling behind him.
Ludwig
to try to compose himself as he follows the two occasionally falling into fits of laughter.
Tino
drown him on the sea once they arrive back at the shore. Still, he pats Aino here and there, helping the her walk. He's no idea how they'd find a wolf.
Ludwig
composed himself enough to catch up to them. He doesn't think they will but that's okay. He could help Tino with Aino.
Tino
looking around for wolves, but with no luck so far, mostly catching trails of elks.
Ludwig
gently petting Aino as he looks around...maybe it would be wiser to come back when they didn't have to protect a reindeer from wolves?
Tino
agrees. "Can you.. look around while I return her? or do You want me to come back later with you?"
Ludwig
getting a little tired with all that had been going on that. "Maybe come back another day?"
Tino
laughs, nodding. "Maybe..." he smiles a bit, guiding Aino back to the village and away from the woods, feeding her a few more berries.
Ludwig
wouldn't be too diappointed if he didn't have a pet. It wasn't the top on his priority list. "We can plan it later."
Tino
nods at him, laughing happily. "We sure can." he smiles, gently stepping away from some tree roots, Aino stumbling a bit but keeping her way through, all very close to Tino.
Ludwig
takes to the other side of Aino so if anything were to come their way he'd be there to protect her as well as Tino.
Tino
smiles at him, laughing softly as he finally reaches the village, going to show off Aino before he returns to Ludwig, grabbing his hands. "She can stay!"
Ludwig
grins. "I knew the elder wouldn't say no! Where are you going to put her?"
Tino
shrugs lightly, squeezing his hands. "No idea, but she's a baby! She'll stay in my tent, until I have a place..."
Ludwig
thinks she can sleep between like how babies di with their parents
Tino
raises one eyebrow at that and goes red, but nods repeatedly, scrambling off to prepare her a bed. Parents... Right.
Ludwig
doesn't see what's wrong with that thought...he's never had parents.
Tino
never be a proper parent to poor Aino, but he can try! He will, actually. "He also said she still needs milk so... Wanna help me?"
Ludwig
's brows raise. "Where do we get her milk...ja, I can help."
Tino
points to a woman in the distance. "With her, she has some gallons." he curls his hand back, then waves at her with a grin.
Ludwig
quirks a brow and waves at her as well. "I see I see. I'll take your lead."
Tino
pats Aino and guides her towards the woman, soon explaining his problem as he pats the baby reindeer.
Ludwig
standing behind Tino and Aino almost clinging to his friend's jacket. He was feeling a little jealous of the reindeer for some reason...no matter how cute it was.
Tino
nods at the woman and walks into her tent after her, hand curled protectively over his pet and, for a moment, forgetting about Ludwig.
Ludwig
's lips thin as he feels a little abandoned but follows after them in the tent standing by the entrance arms crossed, slightly pouty.
Tino
pays attention solely to the reindeer as he feeds her, giggling and chatting with the woman. She notices the other boy, and motions him to come closer.
Ludwig
had been standing there for quite some while before he trudges closer to the group feeling very dejected. He shots a glare at the reindeer before schooling his expression to something more neutral, for the
Ludwig
woman's sake.
Tino
laughs at the pet, cooing a bit. The woman asks a bit about Tino's friend, and he jumps, turning to face him. "Oh, there you are! Wanna pet her?"
Ludwig
shakes his head keeping his arms crossed. "I'm okay here." Maybe pets were a bad idea after all.
Tino
doesn't get his change... After the reindeer is finished, she burps lightly and stumbles, resting his head on Tino's lap. The woman instructs him to let her sleep, so he quickly jumps up. "Okay, she'll sleep_
Tino
in my tent!" he beams, awkwardly trying to get the pet in his arms.
Ludwig
watches him struggle not even trying to go help him.
Tino
stares pointedly at him, then huffs and carries Aino himself, heading back to their shared tent.
Ludwig
follows him all pouty and arms crossed as he makes a point to glare at the reindeer.
Tino
settles the reindeer on a corner, letting her sleep before he turns to glare at Ludwig. "What is with you?!" He whines, pouting.
Ludwig
pouts even more and instead just inches towards him before wrapping his arms around him and pulling him tight against his chest. And then glaring ath the reindeer.
Tino
hugs him back, weirded out. "Luddy..." He calls, face buried in the other's chest. When he finally gets it, he laughs loudly. "Oh, boy... Really?! You're jealous of Aino! Why?"
Ludwig
's hold loosens a bit. "Because...you forget about me..." He complains with another pout. The day was full of pouts.
Tino
shakes his head. "I would never!" He blinks, and maybe he did forget... Shaking his head, he hugs him tight back, kissing his forehead. "Silly!"
Ludwig
flushes but takes the reassurance and the pout is soon replaced by a smile. "I guess I was being a little silly..."
Tino
smiles back, laughing. "You were... You're still my friend, Aino just needs more protection." He pulls back, looking at him. "No replacing here, ok?"
Ludwig
nods feeling even more silly. "Okay. None of that."
Tino
pinches his cheek, sitting down on the ground. "Honestly.." He shakes his head, adjusting his coat.
Ludwig
rubs at the pinched cheek before sitting down as well and then falling back to lay down. "I was worried, okay..."
Tino
looks down at him. "Without reason." He chuckles, poking his nose. "Are you sleepy?"
Ludwig
scrunches his nose at the poke before shaking his head. "Not super sleepy, why? You have something in mind?"
Tino
shakes his head. "Not really... You just decided to lay down and all." He grins, looking outside. "Besides, I think it'll snow soon."
Ludwig
gets back up so he's sitting down again. "Snow. That's fun!...right?" Vienna didn't get that much snow and if it did...it melted fairly quickly.
Tino
laughs. "When it isn't too harsh, it's great!" He grins. "We can make sculptures!"
Ludwig
would definitely love that. "Ja, that would be a lot of fun! We can even make a castle out of snow!"
Tino
pauses. "A castle?" he remembers Ludwig vaguely telling him about them, but he's yet to see one.
Ludwig
nods. "Ja, I could make a mini one for us." He could try too at least.
Tino
crosses his arms. "Then you should!" he raises both arms, looking over to check how Aino was -- still sleeping, the poor thing. "And we can have a snowball fight!"
Ludwig
nods. "I would win." He gives him a cheeky grin.
Tino
grins back. "I doubt it." he challenges, narrowing his eyes.
Ludwig
sure he would. He knew warfare and a snowball fight wouldn't be too far from reality. "We should bet on that.
Tino
huffs. "What do you want if you win?"
Ludwig
taps his cheek pensively. "I want....you to...ahhh..." He wasn't really sure he had already won the hunt spoils. "Can I think about it and you tell me what you want?"
Tino
pauses. "I... I don't know what I want." he whines, rolling around and stumbling back.
Ludwig
lays baack down. "I guess we'll need to think about it in that case."
Tino
taps. "I think if I head a beard like the elder's, I'd know..." he hums, thinking and tapping his chin. The elder would always stroke his own beard and then think something awesome.
Ludwig
makes pretend snow angels...since there isn't any snow in the tent. "That beard is pretty cool...maybe that's the key to knowing everything?"
Tino
sits up. "Must be!" he nods to himself -- wow, how come he never thought of that before! "When we grow old, Ludwig, we'll both have long beards!"
Ludwig
laughs. "We'll be so smart."
Tino
nods, crossing his arms. "We'll be genius!"
Ludwig
what kind of thing they would come up with?
Tino
doesn't know, but of course, he doesn't have the beard yet! "I mean, all the great Gods have beards, it's a law..." he crosses his arms. "But when we do have beards, we'll have great ideas!"
Ludwig
that they could try making their own beards. "Why don't we make ourselves some beards. Then we don't have to wait as long." He knew he didn't have the abiliy to grow facial hair at all.
Tino
blinks. "That... yes!" he laughs, grinning widely at him. "And we can show them off and look cool! Quick, how will we make them?"
Ludwig
sits back up and makes a strange pensive face that resembles a mix of a frown and skepticism. "Hmmm, We can make it with extra fur! Then it'll be soft and everyone will be jealous!"
Tino
laughs loudly at his face, waking up Aino as he rolls on the tent. The reindeer goes to check on her 'mother', bumping her head against Tino as he laughs more.
Ludwig
actually frowns. "What's so funny?! It's a great idea!"
Tino
reaches over to tug his cheeks. "Your face is funny!"
Ludwig
slaps his hand away clutching his cheek. "My face is not funny!" He seems horrifed by this. "My face looks fine."
Tino
stumbles at that, falling on his bum. Still, he grins, standing up again and rushing outside. "It's hilarious!"
Ludwig
scrambles up and chases after him. "Your face is fun!" He yells back before tackling him to the ground and pinching both of Tino's cheeks and pulling them both laughing at how the other looked when he did that.
Tino
whines at that, reaching up and trying to slap his hands away. "My face isn't funny!" he huffs, frowning -- which makes his face look even funnier.
Ludwig
starts laughing harder as he rolls of the other boy clutching his stomach. "It's super funny!" He wheezes.
Tino
jumps on him, tugging his face next. "Yours is, all serious!" he tugs the other's browns down, laughing loudly at the result.
Ludwig
flails when Tino jumps on him and pouts when his brows are pulled down. "Well, your's is goofy!" He counters as he pushes Tino's nose up with his thumb.
Tino
laughs at that, shaking his head to dodge his hand, pulling back from his face to tickle his sides. "Yours is more!"
Ludwig
extremely ticklish and makes a strange noise before he starts flailing around to get the Fin off of him. "TINO! NO!" He's panting his sides hurt so much.
Tino
laughs, tickling him more before he just rolls off him, laughing loudly at that. "I won!"
Ludwig
had thought he was going to suffocate from his own laughter and when the other rolls off him it takes him a while to catch his breath before he weakly punches the other in the arm. "I hate you." He pouts.
Tino
smiles at him, catching his breath after laughing so much. "Hah... Hate you too." he grins cheekily.
Ludwig
pushes him as he gets up before dusting himself off and then offering the other his hand.
Tino
takes it, using as a lever to stand up himself. He is still smiling, and stumbles a bit to mess the other's hair but something makes him pause. Maybe it's the wind, but there's a distant sound of howling.
Ludwig
had been expecting the ruffling of his hair but when it doesn't come he stares at Tino curiously. He hadn't caught the distant howling. "Everything okay?"
Tino
nods, looking around for the elder. The man comes off from his tent, glaring at them. "What are you two doing outside? To the tents!" he orders, and same howls echo again.
Ludwig
freezes before pulling Tino towards their tent. "Come on....the Elder doesn't look happy."
Tino
shakes his head. "I gotta help them! You hide, I'll grab my bow." he nods, rushing to their tent just to do that.
Ludwig
shakes his head as he follows him. "Nein! I'll help too!" He was an empire no matter how young. "I still have my sword." He says as he grabs it from the area he had placed his Holy Roman clothes and pulling it
Ludwig
out.
Tino
shakes his head. "You don't want a close fight against wolves." he warns, pushing him inside again as he walks off, to find the elder.
Ludwig
sputters in slight indignation when he's pushed back. "Tino! I'm not an empire for no reason!" He growls as he watches the other go. He'd just wait and then go and help when everyone was distracted.
Tino
prepares his bow, looking around. He waits, only to be grabbed by one of the older warriors and pushed back into his own tent, tossed right next to Ludwig. "What?!" he shouts.
Ludwig
quirks a brow at that and peers out the tent. "We'll wait and then go help them." He says including the other in his plan now that Tino knew how it felt to be prohibited from fighting.
Tino
crosses his arms, frowning before nodding at that. "Right... It's not usual for the wolves to attack, something must've stirred them."
Ludwig
what that could be. "That's never good."
Tino
nods, gently approaching Aino, who is bawling for the mother and shivering in the back of the tent. "Oh, girl..." he shushes her, trying to awkwardly hug the poor animal.
