BRITISH pupils are being told that Taiwan is part of China as part of a government-funded scheme. Teaching material available to English secondary schools as part of the Mandarin Excellence Programme repeatedly suggests that Taiwan belongs to the People's Republic of China.
參加這項計劃的學生最多一星期上8小時中文課。課程由University College London的 Institute of Education推行，並與英國文化協會合作，有收取英國政府資助。去年，英國政府資助計劃410萬英鎊，2025-26的撥款則減至240萬。 Institute of Education亦在英格蘭營運43個「孔子課堂」來教英國學童中文。

【Kris Cheng】2️⃣ 《電訊報》12月4日報道，有75間英國公立中學加入了“Mandarin Excellence Programme”，令8,000名學生有機會用到由中國提供的教材，當中有一條練習題問到：「台灣在哪裏？你知道台灣是中國的一部分嗎？」其他教材亦有顯示台灣為中國版圖一部分。
