blorbos in no specific order: - Dodger - Fireheart and Bluestar from Warriors - Jack Wynand and Atlas from Bioshock - Henry from Kingdom Come Deliverance - Jinx from Arcane - Joseph Joestar and Dio Brando from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - Koga Oogami from Ensemble Stars - Legoshi from Beastars (not exhaustive but yknow, off the top of my head.)
5. what about their backstory makes me emotional A LOT OF THINGS UM, some parts of Dodger's past are loosely autobiographical (i'm fine btw, NOWHERE NEAR the level he's at) so like, there's certain topics that i feel Very Passionately about when Dodger's bringing them up.
Dodger was created by a 16-year-old Bones who was fresh out of the relationship that Dodger's cult experience is based on, dumping all of my baggage into him for safe-keeping. And basically exaggerating all of it to the point where I can look at it and go "real life wasnt that bad"
So, Dodger's childhood / abusive father figure and his relationship with Arzial are the things that stick with me the most. The father figure thing is obvious but uh. Arzial was inspired by an abusive relationship I had as a teenager that was Very Uncomfortable but not quite at a level I understood as abusive until I was out of it.
Also in my PSL with my roommate, Dodger opened up about how (part of) the reason he's so hyper-sexual is because he had it normalized from a weirdly young age that he is sexually appealing to others and then took the stance of "no, that's normal, i don't know why you're being weird about it" and that made me very emotional to write out.
