in game there's usually a little delay on it

so if Kahl chose to hide, all cool

if he didn't, I can lean in on that

the way it usually works is that he kinda half-shifts into the mental plane which is just VOID and then the salutor/entity/whatever in it's true form becomes clear if they choose to

but (Krampus, you ass) they can also hide in the shadows and not show themselves

nah - on a visual level he's like I'm So Cute but without supergods hunting him to death on the barge he's not hiding on a spiritual level

TLDR he'll know something's around but not necessarily that is CAT
