alex sent a drunk signal to space and then collapsed (whoops), said signal will be caught by something and have a follow-up during next mission that she'll communicate forward
it did bring one of her love interests from a past/alt/future life to earth so there's that (the alien invasion also happened but it predates the arrival tbh and is more likely potentially linked to their repeated murderings of her as a child)
