( doggo ) so i was filled with "oh maybe we can beat the storm and take the dogs to run at the dogpark!" check the weather, says light rains coming in a few hours. get out there. get some running. anyway the dogs are vetted for sudden thunderstorms

Kodi stood in the rain squinting his eyes and blinking at me like, mom? what is going on? why is the sky going for my eyes?

and so we waited for a while but the dogs were getting impatient, and ultimately ran back to the car in the rain when it was less downpour

of course now we're back to sunshine, thank you mountain adjacent weather you are so deeply yourself as always

i am deeply betrayed

Kodi's also so good about towel monster - what i call drying him off with a towel and literally also what i say the whole time "towel monster towel monster who's ready for towel monster" he shoves his face in and just lets me go to town
