'That person is secretly a devil' is fighting words where Alastor's from, too, honestly. Certain people who had contracts with devils at least used to be respected, though, and he missed the Witch Hunts, so he isn't as familiar with how sentiments have changed there...

(Not that everyone who has a devil contract is a Witch, but they were by far the most common conjurers when the Craft was still alive.)
