Favorite Thing: I already love a man with Hidden Trauma, and the fact that he's doing some sort of sneaky shit is super appealing too, but someone so passive aggressive also just makes for a great antagonist in a workplace setting?? it's really funny to see him being a salty bastard

Least Favorite Thing: that we don't know anything about his trauma or wtf he's doing at the school, I am chomping at the bit for this next chapter and hoping it drops more clues

Favorite Line: that whole convo with Miki was just... chef's kiss. Miki can spot a bitch from a mile away

brotp extremely difficult choice because the only person he seems to kind of get along with is Hatanaka, that translated tier list of 'who Ebisu hates the least' is still really funny to me. I think if he actually had any reasons to hang out with Amaaki that they'd get along a lot better too

OTP: HEAR ME OUT..... shipping him with any of the youkai would probably solve half the narrative problems he creates, and shipping with the Principal in particular would be a really interesting hateship kind of thing. I've talked to Picaro about it quite a lot and the Principal's type does seem to be brunettes with red eyes ngl

notp: I wouldn't ship him with Yuuta, if anything Yuuta is his big brother figure and that's not usually how I like to handle 'immortal' age gaps as it is. also I wouldn't ship him with Sano for obvious reasons

Random Headcanon: It's more a theory than a headcanon, I'm pretty sure Ebisu is the 'dark Haruaki' in the sense that he must've tried to befriend a youkai and had it go horribly wrong. his antipathy against youkai is so bitter it's just got to be personal. Whatever happened to Ebisu must've majorly fucked him up 😔

Strongly held opinion: ngl I don't think he's going to end up being an actual villain, I suspect instead the youkai gang is going to defrost his heart with the Power of Friendship at some point
