event thoughts for Kai! And toplevel! I got inspired and got one up faster than usual

this event looks fun! And it plays nicely into Kai not being able to hide his magic this month

Kai is a thief and a rebel. He has never done anything with diplomacy his entire life. His magic also sparked a 10 year war back home so he's very uneasy about the whole trip, especially since he can't hide his magic right now

he lost his bracelet that allows him to suppress his magic. Without it, his eyes glow with his emotions and his hair is gray. Magic puts a lot of strain on Kai's body since he suppresses it all the time, which is why his hair is grey despite him only being in his 20s

For those who can sense magic there's an otherworldly energy around him that feels like a mirage

Kai has been trying to avoid people since he lost his bracelet and he will be extra self conscious of his magic with the flower fairies.

for a gift Kai will be playing his flute for the faeries. Everyone likes music right?

mages aren't entirely human, they are magical beings tied to a human soul, so Kai doesn't need to sleep so he will be able to stay awake for an hour if anyone else is still up

Marina doesn't know that life

since Kai is worried he'll ruin everything he's more likely to comment on other's stories than offer one of his own. He will gladly offer background music to make the stories more dynamic as well.

Kai has never ice skated so that could be fun. He's got the agility of a cat so he would probably get the hang of it fairly quickly. It could be a fun way to get him to stop worrying for a bit

fighting hornets will be a fun way to show off his magic. He can resonate with the emotions of the dead and use his music to channel those feelings into different elements. Given the fae's connection to death, there is a chance that he makes a connection with a mischievous fae instead who makes his magic backfire in hilarious ways.

so there are fun opportunities for magical misfires with the hornets

for a reward I'm thinking of giving him a magical flute from the fae that can't be lost or destroyed

for general pixie led thoughts, I crashed for the beginning of the month and haven't had a chance to do anything with the quest board. Is there anyone who still wants to do quests or should I just focus on the event and try the next round?

kingdonkey the other mages still hold onto human habits as much as possible, sleep is complicated for a lot of them though because of nightmares lol.

Kai is a bit different since he became a mage when he was just a kid. He doesn't have as strong an attachment to his human past. He still wants to fit in, and not get killed, so he still acts human but he leans more towards his magic side than the other mages

which is what makes this event fun since he can be himself, even if it makes him uneasy too
