I vaguely remember being obsessed with this show as a child

Not realizing that half the cast was mid 20th century newspaper adventure comics

huh, interesting Lothar could be considered the first black superhero

In his original incarnation he is a circus strongman who hangs out with Mandrake and speaks cave man English

yeah there's a ton of yikes in the early comic hero stuff

honestly that's a pretty good update

apparently Mandrake itself yeeted a lot of the garbage over time (whereas The Phantom is stilled extremely married to the white savior lord of the jungle in 2024)
