okay separate and very emotional RotTMNT post here
No spoilers in this one

So I had to pause the episode I was watching to do something else, and I decided to resume a fanfic I was reading while I was doing it
And the premise of the fic is that something happened that de-aged Raph into a five-year-old
And in the current chapter, Donnie is attempting to babysit and bond with him

And he offers to fix up his stuffed bear, because it’s old and beat up, but baby Raph won’t let him
And he says the bear is his “Donnie’s hug”
And Donnie’s confused, and says “you know I’m Donnie, right?”

And Baby Raph says that he knows, but when they were all little, Donnie fixed the bear for him
And I quote: “And D.d says Donnie fixes things instead of giving hugs like Mikey and I do or saying ‘I love you’ like Leo does. So you can’t fix him, because he’s my Donnie’s hug.”

And I’m in tears now
That is the sweetest thing

He’s just a little guy but he understands that Donnie shows love by giving gifts and helping people instead of being traditionally affectionate like the others and he knows that fixing the bear was four-year-old Donnie’s equivalent of a hug and he’s cherished it for ten years because of that T-T

I’m still crying
Now he’s trying to explain to Donnie that he doesn’t want him to fix it now because he’s different now and he doesn’t want to act like four-year-old Donnie wasn’t enough because he stayed up all night and hurt his hands sewing the bear back up
So Little Donnie and Present Donnie are both equally good and he doesn’t wanna replace

the work he did on the bear with the work he can do now because they’re both special
Of course he says all of this the way a little kid would say it but it’s still so smart and so SWEET and I love him so much
