No, because they are consuming an animal product that will cost its life.

It may not be literally MEAT, but if you take it from an animal in enough quantity, it will die.

Yeah, vegetarianism usually is not consuming any part of an animal, but animal products that don't harm it are okay, like milk or eggs

Honey's a weird contention in the vegan community because more bees are better for the environment and they're not being exploited, but also it's an animal byproduct

And some people end up yelling that the bees are being exploited anyway, which is kinda silly

The bees on our farm get a super safe hive system, made sure they have plenty of warmth and food for the winter, and all we do is drain some of the honey.

And bees are 100% free to leave at any time if the hive decides it doesn't like the bargain

esp bc vegetarianism (and veganism) seek to reduce harm as much as possible. if you're drinking something's blood, whether you're drinking enough to kill it or not, you're still harming it. and most vampires (at least that i'm aware of) end up killing whatever they are drinking the blood of

if their donors are volunteers and aren't killed or turned by being fed from, I could see the argument

same way honey is vegan to many vegans bc the bees literally volunteer to be there. bees can leave.

in ABA's case, she drinks (or rather feeds her Key husband) blood packets, but otherwise stabs opponents to power him up. This seems to have changed in Strive though
